Katie Wine-Appleton, LPCC-S, is the owner of Appleton Counseling & Consultation, a private practice based out of Columbus, Ohio. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, with supervisory endorsement, in the State of Ohio. Katie is also licensed in the State of Arizona as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), however, she doesn’t have an office location in Arizona and can only meet with Arizona clients virtually.
Katie is a Certified Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapist and has been endorsed by the IFS Institute to provide consultation for therapists seeking IFS certification.
In addition, she is a Certified EMDR Therapist and has been endorsed by EMDRIA to provide consultation for therapists seeking EMDR certification.
Katie started her career in the mental health field in 2003. She spent a decade providing mental health services to marginalized and vulnerable clients in the community mental health system in Franklin County and Hocking County, Ohio.
In 2013, Katie started her own counseling practice in Columbus, Ohio, where she provides individual counseling to adults seeking IFS and EMDR Therapy.
Katie’s counseling practice is full and is not accepting new clients at this time.
Katie is only meeting with client virtually (Zoom) at this time.
Due to the high demand of Certified IFS Therapists that accept health insurance, Katie will only accept future clients into her clinical practice that have a vested interest in receiving IFS Therapy.
EMDR Therapy is also available for clients with the understanding that Katie uses an IFS-informed approach.

Katie is an in-network provider for most insurance companies of Ohio residents.
Katie is an out-of-network provider for all insurance companies of Arizona residents.
